Uniformly accomplished, uniformly depressing, this year’s competitors for the Documentary Short Oscar are a collection of films probing the uglier side of our sociological zeitgeist.
Watch something else instead.
Way too long and with a lopsided supporting cast, the film still finds some bright spots and is a good showcase for Taraji P. Henson’s underused lowbrow side.
